Markus was always so serious. As the representative of the android people, he was always being watched. Judged.
Hank had taught Connor to let go. To laugh. To live.
So when Connor saw the patch of snow, he didn't stop to think. He scooped up a handful and packed it into a ball, precontructed, and threw.
The snowball landed perfectly, shattering against Markus and sending bits of ice flying.
“Wh-

” He stared at Connor. For an eternal moment Connor thought he'd ruined everything.
Then Markus grinned. “Oh, it is

,” he said, scooping up his own handful of snow.
